The Livingston City Commission recently completed its annual performance evaluation of City Manager Grant Gager. The comprehensive evaluation involved assigning a numerical ranking using a scale of 1-5 with five meaning ‘excellent’ across nine performance dimensions deemed most essential to the job of city manager.
The aggregate score of all five commissioners was 4.54, which placed his overall ranking at the midpoint between “above average” and “excellent.” While the numerical ranking was the ‘objective’ portion of the evaluation, the process also included a ‘subjective’ component which captured narrative responses in the form of comments from the commissioners, as well as comments from a cross-section of community leaders who were also asked about the city manager’s performance.
“We are very pleased with the overall performance of Mr. Gager as our city manager, which is consistent with past year’s performance,” said Commission Chair Quentin Schwarz. “He is helping us continue to take Livingston in the right direction. We hope to have his services for many years to come.”
