The third annual Spring Fling Craft Show returns to the Park County Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 11th from 9 to 3 pm. New and returning vendors will be showcasing an assortment of handcrafted goods, including quilts, stained glass, jewelry, wood turned bowls and toys, natural skincare and many cottage industry foods, including sourdough bread, confections, jams and smoked seasonings. There are many more categories to enjoy!

This year the raffle table will support the Park County Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter. One hundred percent of all raffle ticket proceeds will be donated to the group, who will be working the table. Entry to the craft show is $1 for adults; children 12 and under, as well as all first responders, are free. Follow Yer' Nose BBQ will also be set up outside selling delicious barbeque.

Organizer Christy Jones Christy discussed how many Livingston churches previously organized holiday shows before COVID-19, but that once restrictions were lifted, they never restarted, mostly because no members wanted to take on the burden of organizing them. She says, “The show was essentially booked within a few weeks of the emails going out to vendors in January. I have organized many events in the area for several years now. There are so many creative people around here with fewer options every year for shows.”  Furthermore, there were few buildings with sufficient space to accommodate a show or have clear accessibility to common spaces. She was asked multiple times to organize shows in other parts of the state but has declined. Her focus instead is here, on Park County.

Christy lives in Emigrant and has been coordinating the Emigrant People's Market for several years, which is held on Saturdays during the summer. She also organizes other shows in Emigrant and Gardiner during the year.
