The Livingston HealthCare Foundation has launched its current appeal to support a critical renovation of the Livingston HealthCare pharmacy. The project will expand capacity, improve safety, and update sterile compounding spaces to meet modern standards, directly benefiting patients who rely on precise, timely, and safely prepared medications.

One of those patients is Joey, a local father whose metastatic prostate cancer diagnosis required immediate, complex treatment. After months of unexplained pain, imaging revealed that Joey’s cancer had spread to his bones, spine, ribs, and lungs. He began chemotherapy and ongoing hormone therapy, relying on carefully compounded medications prepared by the pharmacy team.

“These medicines are my lifeline,” Joey said. “A modern, efficient pharmacy means safer care for patients like me.”

The renovation will:

  • Add approximately 400 square feet within the current footprint to support updated workflows and new technologies.
  • Replace the Hazardous Drug Compounding Hood and align with current sterile compounding standards.
  • Modernize medication storage and distribution areas for better safety and efficiency.
  • Relocate the Department Manager’s office into the pharmacy for real-time oversight.

The Foundation aims to raise $750,000 to complete this essential upgrade. Every gift supports safer care, greater accuracy, and the infrastructure needed to meet growing clinical demands.

Behind every medication prepared is a patient like Joey—and a community committed to their care.
