Anticipation filled the Depot as guests sized up their competition for the third annual Night at the Museums: An Evening of Park County Trivia. Co-hosts Kris King of Explore Livingston and Laura Cota, director of the Livingston Depot, led the evening with sharp local knowledge and plenty of humor.

Teams tackled four rounds of questions with categories ranging from “Old Names” and “Local Characters” to “Years & Numbers” and “Places.” A few brave participants added levity with a side contest of animal sounds—featuring elk bugles, cow lows, and even an interpretive take on Livingston wind.

Past champions “Local Yokels” (2025) and “Win-I-Gan” (2024) returned hoping to defend their titles, but this year it was “Mixed Nuts” who claimed the top spot. Composed of Karen Reinhart, Lorna Marchington, Mary Weamer, Norman Miller, Bruce Kron, and Amos Knight, the team took home a cash prize, a handmade trophy provided by Mountain Man Guiding celebrating local landmarks, and year-long bragging rights, with their name added to plaques at both museums.

The Yellowstone Gateway Museum and Livingston Depot thank the sponsors, underwriters, volunteers, and generous donors who made the evening possible, including Coffee Crossing, Drift Studios, Edd Enders, French Hen Bakery, Green Duck Farms, Kitchen Shop, Neptune’s Brewery, and the Owl Lounge. This annual event celebrates the spirit of Park County and the community that makes it special.
