Join the Frame Garden for a paper cut art class featuring instructor Georgia Donovan on Saturday, September 27th from 10 to 11 am during Art Week Park County. This class is appropriate for kids age 7 and above, as well as adults. All supplies are included. To register, please call 406-222-5122. The class is free but there is a $10 no-show fee. Your credit card won't be charged, or your check won't be cashed, unless you are a no-show. The class is limited to 10 people so sign up soon. A second class may be available at 11:30 am if the first one fills.
Donavan is an experienced cut paper instructor whose own body of work includes intricately cut and painted paper. She also works in oil on canvas. Her work will be on display during Art Week through November 14th.
During Art Week, the Frame Garden will also host an artists talk and demonstration by watercolorist Lyn Bickerton Chan on Friday, September 26th from 4 to 5 pm. Chan does a variety of subject matter but primarily focuses on the Yellowstone area. She is a longtime park employee and landscape architect who has done illustration work on exhibits in Yellowstone, capturing the landscape and regional wildlife. This event is free and open to the public with no registration required.
