In partnership with the Park County Senior Center and in celebration of National Poetry Month, Elk River Arts & Lectures (ERAL) presents a free, all-ages two-part Poetry Writing Workshop. The first session will take place on April 27th from 5:30 to 7 pm, with the second session on May 4th from 5:30 to 7 pm. Participants are encouraged to attend both sessions, though each offering will stand alone if need be. Both workshops will take place at The Hub at the Park County Senior Center, 206 S. Main Street in Livingston.

This two-part workshop invites participants to explore how personal memory and the landscapes we inhabit shape our sense of connection—to place, to others, and to ourselves. Through guided prompts, short readings, and generative writing exercises, we will reflect on meaningful places and moments from our lives, using sensory detail and imagery to bring memory to life on the page. The workshop will include time for writing, optional sharing, and supportive discussion in an open and creative environment. No creative writing or poetry experience is necessary; all are welcome!
