The Shane Center Presents curates diverse performances that showcase remarkable artistry and connects our local community to the wider world of the arts.

In partnership with Yellowstone Forever, The Shane Lalani Center for the Arts is proud to share a high-energy, one-of-a-kind evening with Supaman—the internationally acclaimed Apsáalooke hip-hop artist, fancy war dancer, and cultural ambassador from the Crow Agency in Montana.

His artistry fosters social change through live rap music, dance, storytelling, and sharp humor. Supaman delivers an electrifying performance that lifts audiences to their feet while carrying a powerful message of hope, resilience, and unity. This is more than a concert—it’s a joyful, inspiring celebration of culture, connection, and the power of music to move us all.

Christian Parrish Takes the Gun, known professionally as Supaman, has dedicated his life to empowering and uplifting communities through art. Raised on the Crow Reservation, he merges contemporary hip-hop with traditional Indigenous dance and music, creating a groundbreaking style that has taken him to stages across the United States and around the world.

In a recent interview with Montana State University, Parrish Takes the Gun stated, “I was empowered to hear other Natives practice the culture of hip hop and tell their stories from a native perspective. So, from then, that’s when I started being more serious about it, started creating music and being confident in putting myself out there.”

Lisa Diekmann, President and CEO of Yellowstone Forever, adds, “Our tribal engagement work in Yellowstone centers on supporting Indigenous voices, knowledge, and leadership connected to this place, both within the park and in surrounding communities. Partnering with The Shane Center to bring Supaman to Livingston reflects that commitment. His work offers an accessible way to encourage learning and dialogue and helps foster the mutual understanding and respect that underpin strong, lasting relationships among tribal nations, Yellowstone, and the broader community.”

Supaman’s work has earned national and international recognition, including the MTV Video Music Award for Best Fight Against the System, a Native American Music Award, a North American Indigenous Image Award, multiple Tunney Awards, and Indigenous Music Awards for Best Hip Hop Album and Best Producer. His music videos have garnered millions of views and his outreach performances in schools and communities have inspired young people everywhere to embrace their identity, find their voice, and pursue their dreams.

Executive Director of the Shane Center, Erika Adams says, “This evening with Supaman reflects exactly why we created Shane Center Presents: To bring world-class artistry to Livingston while celebrating voices that inspire, challenge, and connect us.

His work bridges cultures, generations and experiences, and we’re deeply honored to share it with our community in partnership with Yellowstone Forever.”
