The Livingston Gallery Association invites locals and visitors alike to experience one of Montana’s most vibrant arts traditions during the annual 4th Friday Summer Art Walks, taking place monthly from June through September in historic downtown Livingston.
On the fourth Friday of each month, from 5:30 to 8 pm, more than twenty galleries, studios, museums, and creative spaces throughout downtown open their doors for an evening celebrating art, culture, and community. This year’s Summer Art Walks will take place on Friday, June 26th; Friday, July 24th; Friday, August 28th; and Friday, September 25th. Visitors can stroll Livingston’s walkable historic district, meet artists, discover new exhibitions, and experience the creative energy that has made Livingston a destination for the arts in the American West.
Each participating location offers its own unique perspective—from contemporary and traditional fine art to photography, sculpture, mixed media, books, design, and cultural exhibitions. The Association believes a healthy community thrives when people have access to and engagement with the arts. During each Art Walk, galleries stay open late, welcoming visitors with exhibitions, artist receptions, refreshments, and opportunities to connect with the artists, business owners, and creative spaces that shape Livingston’s cultural identity.
Livingston has long been home to a rich and expansive creative community, and the Livingston Gallery Association works year-round to share that story. Comprised of local business owners and gallery operators, the Association promotes regional arts and culture through collaborative marketing, community programming, and the creation of Livingston’s signature Fourth Friday Art Walks.
As residents and visitors move through downtown, the streets fill with conversation, creativity, and connection—making each Fourth Friday a celebration of both the arts and the spirit of Livingston.
