HARLOWTON — Harlo Music Project returns on Saturday, August 8th, bringing nationally touring artists, Montana favorites, and a full day of fun to the heart of Wheatland County. Now in its eighth year, the festival has become a summer tradition, pairing standout acts with the welcoming atmosphere of a classic small-town street dance.
This year's headliner, Uncle Lucius, is currently on its 20th anniversary tour. The seasoned Texas band moves between roots rock, soul, and country, and is defined by strong songwriting and dynamic live performances. Logan Ryan Band and Kat Hasty both have rapidly growing national followings and will bring high-energy red dirt country and raw, story-driven songs, respectively. Also performing are talented Montana artists Tanner Laws, who just opened for Turnpike Troubadours, Saint of Soldiers, and Watson Mills, each adding their own distinct sound and style to the event.
Festival-goers will find a wide range of food and drink, including Gally’s Brewing Company, Dean’s Dogs, Poky Smoky BBQ, Montana Melt, Happy Tummy Kusina, and ManBitto. Face painting will be available free of charge, and kids 12 and under also get in free with an accompanying adult. Camping is available just down the hill from the festival.
HMP’s 2026 community partner is the Harlowton Kiwanis Club, who will be on-site sharing information about the wide variety of programs and work they do in Harlo. Stop by and visit them during the festival. Gates open at 2:30 pm on Saturday, August 8th and the event is rain or shine. Tickets can be purchased online or in the taproom at Gally’s Brewing Company.
