ASPEN Presents Your Attention Please at Empire Twin Theatre
Monthly Documentary CLUB Begins with a Free Film Screening and Discussion
ASPEN, Abuse Support & Prevention Education Network, invites the community to attend Your Attention Please Monday, September 14th at 5 pm. The documentary is suitable for teens and adults. In order to make it easier for families to attend, ASPEN will provide kids’ activities during the screening and pizza to-go after for those who RSVP to emily@aspenmt.org for kids and food. Seats for the film will be free of charge and available on a first come first serve basis. Free-will donations to offset costs will be accepted.
Your Attention Please is the first offering in The Documentary CLUB that ASPEN plans to present monthly during the 2026-2027 school year except December and May. The CLUB will explore how tech and media affect our relationships along with media literacy, curiosity and strategies for using tech effectively. Details about each CLUB meeting will be available as arrangements are made and can be found by checking ASPEN’s website at aspenmt.org/events.

“Your Attention Please, directed by Sara Robin and co-created by Jack LeMay, is an urgent and hopeful documentary exploring how the modern attention economy and social media platforms are shaping relationships, mental health, childhood development, and the future of human attention.
Through intimate stories of parents, technologists, educators, and youth advocates working to reshape digital environments, the film examines how engagement-driven design influences behavior and wellbeing, and what happens when individuals and communities begin challenging those systems.”
The website also says that in addition to people in the industry, communities are experimenting with alternatives to engagement-driven systems. ASPEN plans to begin constructive conversations about alternatives within families, organizations and the community at large by showing Your Attention Please.
