Grace Doney, a sophomore at Montana State University said, “In my work, I have sought to explore humanity through inhuman subjects. There’s a kind of wonder in our ability to connect our lived experiences to that which is also alive. From iconographies representing death or rebirth, to portrayals of fear or love, our ability to see ourselves in the other lives that share this world with us is what guides my practice of wildlife portrait painting.”
