The Danforth Museum of Art (DMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrienne Pollard as the museum’s new Executive Director. A longtime Livingston resident and active member of the local arts community, Pollard brings extensive experience in fine arts, graphic design, museum leadership, and nonprofit engagement. She is the founder and principal designer of Pollard Design and has served the DMA in numerous capacities, most recently as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

In that role, she oversaw operations, fundraising, marketing, and communications while also contributing to exhibition curation, design, and presentation. Pollard attended Montana State University, The Cooper Union, Parsons School of Design/The New School, and the Philadelphia College of Art. She holds undergraduate degrees in philosophy and psychology, and a master’s in American Studies. In academia, she explores the intersections of philosophy, art, and culture. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in American Studies at Montana State University.

Throughout her career, Pollard has led and contributed to a wide range of notable design and communications projects. For The Wolf Fund, a grassroots wildlife conservation organization, she directed the design of outreach materials, including newsletters, an award-winning poster campaign, and a limited-edition commemorative book for donors. She also developed promotional materials for Strathmore and Monadnock Papers aimed at graphic design professionals and created comprehensive branding and event materials for the Yellowstone Park Foundation’s, now Yellowstone’s Forever Old Faithful Visitor Education Center opening celebration. Additional projects include product and packaging design for Baudelaire Soap and bodycare and the creation of promotional graphics commemorating folk singer Tom Rush’s 50-year music career.

Pollard’s work has received numerous professional honors. Honors include the High Plains Book Award for Voices of Yellowstone’s Capstone: A Narrative Atlas of the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness.

Pollard looks forward to continuing her service to the Danforth Museum of Art in her new leadership role. Former Executive Director Storrs Bishop will transition to the position of Curator and Education Coordinator. Together, Pollard and Bishop will collaborate to expand exhibitions, educational programming, and community partnerships, further advancing the museum’s mission and impact throughout the region.
