The Shane Lalani Center for the Arts continues their weekly free community concert series with a performance by maple. SOCS (Shane Outdoor Concert Series) takes place in the Henry Blake pavilion from 5 to 8 pm. When the Max performed on July 2nd, there were more than 675 people enjoying the evening. That’s a record for the series to date!
On July 23rd, come enjoy a night of Down South Party Music with maple, a band formed between three old pals who all have different touring bands. The trio features original and traditional songs by Glenn Fields (Baton Rouge, LA), Matt Morelock (Knoxville, TN) and Paul Lee Kupfer (West Virginia, USA). Glenn is in "The Revelers", Matt is in "Ferd", Paul is in "Paul Lee Kupfer". The band gets together to tour for the fun of playing music in beautiful places like Montana, where their first tour began. These guys are all seasoned vets who perform all over the country. Their aim is to bring the boogie and make sure the crowd has a great night every time they perform. This is their first appearance at The Shane Center.
The community is encouraged to arrive early, bring chairs or blankets and please, no outside food or beverages. Enjoy the music and try delicious food from O Bar U BBQ and Two Scoops, as well as beverages and snacks from the State Farm caboose, featuring soft drinks, beer, wine, popcorn and more.
The Shane Center is located at 415 E. Lewis Street. Expanded bicycle parking is available onsite. Additional vehicle parking is available at the Lincoln School, 215 East Lewis Street. The event, including food truck service, opens at 4 pm.
This event is brought to you by Marcia McCrum in memory of Bliss McCrum, Livingston Health Care, Pine Creek Lodge, Yvonne Brutger and Dain Rodwell, Carol Lalani in memory of Sal Lalani and Mighty Fine Time Live Events.
