The Park County Community Foundation (PCCF) is organizing a free educational event discussing Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) on Thursday, November 5th, from 10 to 11 am at the Park County Senior Center located at 206 S. Main Street in Livingston.

This free event will be presented by local financial advisor July Hardesty and will cover how Required Minimum Distributions can become a tool to work toward personal goals, express family priorities, and support important causes.

Once individuals reach age 73, the IRS requires annual withdrawals from most traditional retirement accounts. If individuals fail to take the full RMD by the applicable deadline, the IRS may assess an excise tax on the amount that should have been withdrawn but was not. With a little knowledge, RMDs can become a powerful tool for individuals working towards financial and philanthropic goals.

Born and raised in Livingston and an Accredited Wealth Management Advisor™ of Edward Jones, July Hardesty helps successful individuals, families, and business owners navigate the financial decisions that come with building, preserving, and transferring wealth. Many of life's most important financial decisions are tied to major transitions such as retirement, the sale of a business, receiving an inheritance or creating a legacy for future generations. These moments often involve financial complexity and emotion. July helps clients make informed, confident decisions while staying focused on what matters most.
