During its fourth season, the popular Summer Outdoor Concert Series (SOCS), hosted by The Shane Lalani Center for the Arts, presents Emma and the Ledge, making their debut on the Blake Pavilion stage.
Emma and the Ledge is a guitar-slinging, blues-singing, funk fusion band from the Gallatin Valley. Inspired by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Beth Hart, and various blues greats spanning from the ‘70s to the ‘90s, the band brings an eclectic set of originals and covers with a reimagined twist.
Emma and the Ledge has received much acclaim throughout Montana with their unique performances and pioneering sound. The band has held the title for number one Local Blues Band in the Bozeman Magazine’s Reader’s Choice poll for multiple years, along with various other achievements and awards. This will be their first appearance at the Shane Center—so, get here early for this one!
Continuing each Thursday through July 30th, the Shane Center presents a free community concert at the Henry Blake pavilion from 5 to 8 pm. On June 18th, SOCS will present the return of Swamp Dawg—the only band to play all four years. You know and love them, now come boogie to their New Orleans swamp funk music.
The community is encouraged to arrive at the Blake Pavilion early, bring chairs or blankets but please leave pets at home. Make plans to enjoy the music and try rotating options from local food truck vendors with beverages and snacks from the State Farm caboose featuring soft drinks, beer, wine, popcorn and more.
The Shane Center is located at 415 E. Lewis Street in Livingston. Expanded bicycle parking is available onsite; additional vehicle parking will be available at the Lincoln School, 215 East Lewis Street. The event begins at 4 pm, including food truck service.
This event is brought to you by Marcia McCrum in memory of Bliss McCrum, Pine Creek Lodge, and Carol Lalani in memory of Sal Lalani, and Mighty Fine Time Live Events. For more information on The Shane Lalani Center for the Arts, please visit www.theshanecenter.org.
